Open Call for Applications: 2024 ICH Associate Expert Program   Open Call for Applications: 2024 ICH Associate Expert Program The International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP) welcomes applications for the 2024 ICH Associate Expert Program. The key objective of this program is to support individuals aspiring to become professionals in the ICH field through internships and research in ICH safeguarding. Participants will engage in various networking programs at ICHCAP as interns, with opportunities to experience and engage with ICH communities for individual research. Considering the explosive demand from local communities and partner organizations, as well as opportunities for enhancing participant capacities, this year, the program will be extended to 4 months.   Read more UNESCO Workshop for Capacity-building on Periodic Reporting under the 2003 Convention for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage Held in Republic of Korea   Aworkshop for capacity-building on periodic reporting under the UNESCO Convention for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (hereinafter referred to as the 2003 Convention) was held in South Korea. Sponsored by the Cultural Heritage Administration of Republic of Korea, the workshop took place from February 26th to March 1st at the National Intangible Heritage Center located in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do. Co-organized by UNESCO and International Information and Networking Centre For Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region Under the auspices of UNESCO (hereinafter referred to as ICHCAP), the workshop had almost 100 participants from more than 30 countries in the region along with the UNESCO representatives from the Secretariat and field offices, and ten facilitators.   Read more 2024 Sub-regional Network Meeting for Safeguarding ICH   IICHCAP held a Sub-regional Network Meeting for the safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in Pacific and SouthAsia at Lotte Hotel in Seoul on March 3, 2024. Since 2010, ICHCAP has organized sub-regional network meetings aimed at safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, serving as the foundation for various projects undertaken by the organization. These meetings gather key stakeholders from each country to exchange insights into the latest policies and trends in the field of ICH.
