CHA Held the 2nd Working Committee Meeting for ASEAN-ROK Cultural Heritage Cooperation Jointly with ASEAN Secretariat (Jakarta, Indonesia, May 30-31)   Cultural Heritage Administration (hereinafter “CHA”) held the 2nd Working Committee Meeting for ASEAN-ROK Cultural Heritage Cooperation, jointly with the ASEAN Secretariat and the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, at the Nusantara Hall of the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 30-31. ICHCAP (hereinafter "Center") is currently assisting the ASEAN-ROK Cultural Heritage Cooperation Organisation Preparatory Office of CHA (hereinafter "Preparatory Office").   Read more Laureates of the Fukuoka Prize 2023 Were Announced!   The Fukuoka Prize Committee has given final approval to the laureates selected by the Prize Jury. Professor Khatharya UM, the Academic Prize winner, participated as a speaker at ICHCAP’s third APEN-ICH International Seminar in 2021. Also, the film Gyeongju by the film director Mr. ZHANG Lu, the Arts and Culture Prize winner, was also selected as the J Special: Programmer of the Year of the Jeonju International Film Festival 2023. The laureates for the fiscal year 2023 are as follows:   Read more Around US$ 1 million granted for the safeguarding of living heritage in nine States Parties   The International Assistance mechanism provides support to States Parties in their national efforts to safeguard the intangible cultural heritage. The Bureau of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage examined and approved, on 5 June 2023, nine International Assistance projects, including an emergency request and a preparatory assistance. A total of US$973,539 was granted to nine States Parties:   Read more ICHCAP × YouTuber RyJoon Capture Kyrgyz Living Heritage on Camera   A s part of the Supporting ICH Digital Contents Creators project, filming onsite ICH experience video was successfully completed in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on 11 June.
