Stories of Water and Humanity, 2022 Living Heritage Series Published   The International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region (hereinafter ICHCAP) and the International Centre for Water Security and Sustainable Management (hereinafter i-WSSM), both under the auspices of UNESCO published the 2022 Living Heritage Series, Water: Interconnectivity between the Intangible Cultural Heritage and Science. Participate in our online course ‘Bringing Living Heritage to the Classroom in Asia-Pacific’, join our webinar to consult with UNESCO experts, and create lesson plans for your own schools. Get a certificate in every step of this challenge! Up to 3 certificates in total! These activities will help the teachers build innovative lesson plans that use traditional wisdoms, craftsmanship, festivals and rituals in local communities as tools and materials for quality.   Read more ICHCAP Signed an MOU with ICDH For Safeguarding the Silk Roads Heritage   T he International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP) and the International Centre for ary Heritage under the auspices of UNESCO (ICDH) signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Safeguarding the Silk Roads Living Heritage’. At the ICDH office in Cheongju, Korea, Mr. Jisung Kim, Director-General of ICHCAP and Mr. Seungcheol Lee, Acting Secretary-General of ICDH talked through the framework for cooperation between ICHCAP and ICDH, with the purpose of furthering safeguarding of cultural heritage as an integrated part of sustainable development, with specific attention to the living heritage of the Silk Roads. In accordance with the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, each party shared the ongoing and planned activities regarding the Silk Roads cultural heritage and further discussed the ways of exchange and collaboration.   Read more Get ready for the 17.COM !   T he start of the seventeenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage is fast approaching. With over 1000 participants already registered, this will be the first time the living heritage global community comes together in person since the 14.COM in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2019.
