UNESCO Phnom Penh Office, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, will hold a workshop from 11 to 13 March 2019 in Siem Reap on “The Status of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in World Heritage Sites of Cambodia.” Around fifty participants (officers, experts, site managers, and researchers) from APSAR, Preah Vihear and Sambor Prei Kuk national authorities and concerned civil societies, NGOs, communities, and provincial departments of culture and fine arts will be invited to join the workshop.

The main objective is to review the status of intangible cultural heritage in the three World Heritage Sites: documentation, inventory, preservation measures, and transfer knowledge to younger generations. The recommendations for a regular network among the three national authorities and sustainable preservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage will be established at the end of the workshop.
