We are now recruiting ASEAN youths to participate in the 2023 ASEAN-ROK Youth Metaverse Idea Contest (Focusing on Cultural Heritage) jointly organized by Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA) and ASEAN-ROK Working Committee on Cultural Heritage Cooperation.

In this contest, ASEAN college (or graduate) students can propose ideas related to cultural heritage and tourism using immerse technologies such as XR (VR, AR, MR) and Metaverse. For more details on the contest, please refer to the attached posters and notice document.

During August and September, teams will be selected to participate in the offline finals after going through online qualifiers within the metaverse platform. Teams that advance to the final rounds will participate in the offline camp in Busan for a week to receive mentoring from XR and metaverse experts. The final winning team selection and awards ceremony will also be held in the final rounds in Busan.

The final winning team will be given the opportunity to present their ideas at the 3rd Working Committee Meeting for ASEAN-ROK Cultural Heritage Cooperation to be held in Thailand in December this year (to be confirmed).

College and graduate students who are studying in ROK or in ASEAN with ASEAN nationality can apply to this contest. Those who wish to participate can fill out the application form using the QR code below.
