Last year, the NCCA has held its first Conference on Cultural Statistics and Creative Economy to highlight and enrich the work on Philippine cultural statistics and creative economy and discuss how this can be used for policy making. This year’s two-day conference will exhibit the initiatives of Southeast Asian countries through paper presentations of various topics and discussions. On the first day within the Southeast Asian context, the conference participants will talk about cultural statistics frameworks and data collection methodologies on one of these domains: cultural and natural heritage, performance and celebration, visual arts and artisan products. On the second day, the conference will be on creativity and economy, cultural/creative hubs, cultural tourism, game industry, DIY urbanism, creative economy of cities, and other topics.
In light of this, NCCA invites interested individuals to participate in the conference. Scholars from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brazil, and Washington DC will be presenting their papers on various sub-themes on cultural statistics and creative economies. Registration is free and on a first come, first served basis. Click the link below to register:
