ICHCAP was invited to the '2024 Digital Heritage Festa' held in Gongju and conducted a special exhibition over three days, from May 24-26.

At the Digital Heritage Festa, hosted and organized by Gongju City and Gongju National University's Gongjuhak Institute and sponsored by the Cultural Heritage Service and South Chungcheong Province, six traditional masks from four countries (Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam) were presented under the theme 'Face with Secrets.‘

The exhibition showcased masks crafted by Asian artisans, presenting them as humanity's intangible cultural heritage. Various audiovisual materials were employed to illuminate the historical contexts and narratives embedded within the masks. Notably, virtual reality (VR) content and videos demonstrating mask production gave visitors vivid experiences of diverse Asian mask traditions.vided visitors with vivid experiences of diverse Asian mask traditions.

Through this exhibition, the audience gained insights into community solidarity and harmonious interactions with nature, discovering masks as vehicles for expressing individuality, spirituality, and beliefs.
