ICHCAP holds the 'ichLinks Webinar' online on Thursday, March 30, 2023, 14:00-16:00(KST), in collaboration with the National Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The webinar will focus on "Intangible Cultural Heritage Archiving Practices and Trends".

In 2021, ICHCAP, with great contribution from partner organizations, officially launched ichLinks, an online platform for sharing information about intangible cultural heritage (ICH), and 2023 marks its second anniversary.

With ichLinks, a new dimension has been added to the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage—namely, in information sharing and networking. In particular, the ichLinks partner organizations have played a major role in developing an archiving system for collecting and posting information about ICH elements, contents, bearers, and communities.

In order to sustain ichLinks, ICHCAP as ichLinks Secretariat has organized working-level meetings every year, but this year a public webinar will be held to commemorate the platform's renewal, allowing more people to learn about ICH archiving in Asia-Pacific countries and discuss its significance.

The webinar, which provides simultaneous Korean-English interpretation, will be held through Zoom, and anyone interested in intangible heritage can participate through the link below.
