ICHCAP’s CPI Program is focused on building a long-term expert network to share information in the Asia-Pacific region and use the network for safeguarding ICH. ICHCAP plans to enhance communication with domestic and/or international ICH organizations and NGOs to expand opportunities for cooperation through various means that involve participants conducting intensive study, participating in ICH practices, and delivering a mutual exchange for information.
In this context, ICHCAP welcomes the participation of six ICH professionals of the Asia-Pacific region. The six selected participants will have an opportunity to engage in an international cooperation project and carry out an individual research project related to using ICH information and enhancing network building. In addition, the participants will be able to strengthen their capacity through field trips to ICH-related organizations in the Republic of Korea and lectures. Additional programs include cultural workshops and a Korean language course.
This year’s CPI Program is under the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea (MCST) and the CPI Secretariat (Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange) with ICHCAP as an operating organization. Since 2012, ICHCAP has been operated the program to contribute to enhancing expert networks for ICH information sharing in the Asia-Pacific region while also seeking opportunities to create relationships for long-term project partners.
